wish list

i know, i know...it's still a long way before christmas for me to make a wish list. but i can't get myself off thinking about an ebook reader. aside from my passion of creating accessories, i am a book junkie. i do not anymore buy books in the store unless i loved the series like those harry potter series and the twilight series. i get my books online. yes and it's free and they call it ebook. as of now, i have tons and tons of titles. before my samsung omnia was robbed, i used my omnia to read my ebooks. i installed it with adobe reader and ms reader. so, i will have the comfort of lying down in bed while reading my books. since it was gone, i don't have anymore choice but to read my books using our laptop or desktop computer while sitting down, gosh, which i hate sometimes.

right now, i don't wish anymore for a new cellphone. i'm contented with what i have right now, our old nokia with no cam, wifi, 3G. my cell right now, is only good for texting. yaiiks and it's ugly. at least, the robbers and snatchers will have no interest with my cellphone right now.

anyway, back to my wish list, my only wish, so far, is to have an ebook reader like the sony pocket reader PRS300 which is pegged at Php11,500.00 or the PRS600 which is a touchscreen and pegged at Php16,000.00. I hope that when december comes, there will be more available ebook reader in the market at less price^.^

A different life experience and hoping for no part 2

It's May 13, an ordinary day for me...I was excited to go to Makati to meet some people for some business transactions but it did not happen. I was on my way to Makati riding a jeepney, those jeeps coming from Paliparan to Baclaran via Molino Blvd. I am a regular passenger of jeeps everytime I go to MOA, Baclaran or anywhere in the northern part of Metro Manila. I ride van if I am going to Manila. Yesterday, I told myself I will ride the van since I'm going to Makati and then I will just ride the MRT to Ayala but then when I go out of the subdivision, there was a jeep passing by and it's not yet full so I told myself, I will just ride it since I am in a hurry and I will be late for my appointment. If I will ride the van surely I will be late since I will have to wait for the van to be full before it leaves.

Now, while traveling, there was this one guy who vomited on my back (eeewwww) and there was also another guy who encouraged me to transfer in the opposite seat, which I did. Take note, he even helped me clean up the mess on my back not knowing their accomplice was already doing his best to take from my bag my wallet and my precious cellphone...Then, one by one, they alighted the jeep, 2 or 3 minutes apart. Since, I want to check if I have messages in my cellphone, I look for it in my bag but I can't find it including my wallet. This is my first time to experience this. I was in shock. My fellow passengers gave me part of their money for my fare in going home since I told them that also my wallet was taken and I don't have anymore money left in me. Thanks to all of them. Though life is hard there are still some people who are willing to give you money even they do not know you personally.

So to all fellow passengers, be watchful and if ever same thing happened to you. Always mind your bag...I really learned my lesson. I will not buy a high end cellphone in the meantime...Because I know in the future, I will buy one.

Creations

Creating fashion accessories are the things that make me busy. This is my second batch part 2. I've been doing this since the start of the new year and I just recently made my multiply site to sell them, though I sell them offline to my friends who really appreciates them. Before, I named my creations after the characteristics of the piece or what it represents to me. However, now I'm naming them based on the characters of the book series I'm hooked right now.

Fiction lover

for the past weeks, i've been reading some fiction books about vampires and other supernatural beings...of course, the main ingredient is love...every vampire stories, there is love angle...there are some stories which are full of emotions which makes my tears fall relentlessly...following are what i've read...
1. Dark Ones series by Katie Macalister - Book 1: A Girl's Guide to Vampires
Book 2: Sex and the Single Vampire
Book 3: Sex, Lies and Vampires
Book 4: Even Vampire Get the Blues
Book 5: The Last of the Red Hot Vampires
There's still books 6 to 8 that i gonna read in the future. this series is for mature ones because of some sex scenes involved.

2. Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith

Book 3: The Fury
Book 4: Dark Reunion

Book 1: Secret Vampire of Night world series....there are still books 2 to 9 that i'm planning to read in the future.

This series really made me cry...i had puffy eyes and really recommend this...

Vampire Academy

I've been reading vampire novels in the past months. I'd read the series written by Charlaine Harris (Southern Vampire Mysteries, Katie Macalister (Dark One series), and lately by Richelle Mead (Vampire Academy series)...Now, Iwill focus more on vampire academy...On my first read, i thought it was boring but then as i go on, it's interesting...it's another view on vampires, dhampir, moroi, and strigoi...these series have lots of emotional involvement. i even cried while reading the second book (Frost bite), when mason was killed by strigoi...there are also lots of crying in the third book (shadow kiss) and i can't wait for the fourth book which is blood promise. can't wait if rose (the main character) will kill Dimitri (her love of life who's now a strigoi or be a strigoi to be with him forever...and this will be released on August. it's a long wait...

oh no! another vampire series

I was able to read from the internet about a new TV show from HBO, True Blood, which is a vampire themed TV series based on the Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris...I searched from the net about this and was able to download e-books of this series. Right now, I am hooked...I am already on my 4th book...as of now, there are 8 books on this and the 9th book will be released this coming May 2009...It is kind of addictive...It has some similarities with the Twilight series...but in this series, it is Sookie Stackhouse, the main character of the story who is the mind reader....there are also some supes (supernaturals) here....

I'm also downloading from the net the TV show "True Blood" for me to see the series in action...I'm so excited....
